The Origin of the Radiance Planner
After a cross-country move from Los Angeles to rural Pennsylvania in the early days of the pandemic, I started studying astrology because I had always found it fascinating (also see note about the pandemic). The more I learned, the more impact it had on my life – the more ease, alignment, and flow I felt – and the more I stepped into my full self. I felt awake, empowered, and aligned in a way I never had.
It was so impactful that I had to share it with others. I actually couldn’t shut up about it.
And so, in March of 2024, after getting turned down for a full-time sports hosting opportunity, I signed up for the Soulshine Astrology Astro Pro Certification to take my love of astrology to the next level, and I founded Radiance Astrology. Over the course of the next year and a half, I crafted every single offering, whether it was giving a birth chart reading, hosting an astro circle, or sharing the Radiance body oils, with the same intention in mind. How can this inspire someone’s intuition, awaken them to their radiance, and empower them to show up in their fullest expression? I believe that the path to expanded consciousness and an Earth filled with peace, equity, love, and compassion comes from each of us doing just that.
The following year, in August of 2025, I co-hosted an outdoor day retreat, Rooted, Radiant, & Rising, with my dear friend and co-facilitator, Amber McFadden of Ambur Waves. We held this beautiful gathering at the beginning of Virgo season, aligned with the New Moon in Virgo, and so, really, it’s no wonder it inspired a planner!
As I prepared for the retreat, I found myself creating a take-home offering that kept getting longer and longer. On the day, we were going to dive deep into Virgo energy, how to harness and flow with it, and I didn’t want to leave the participants hanging for the rest of the year. I wanted to give each of them the same kind of continued energetic and cosmic support that we cultivated during the retreat. And so, I created the first iteration of the Radiance Planner for each of them to take home.
By the end of the retreat, though, I knew I needed to take it further. I thought, what if there was a planner that had all the fix-ins of a daily planner – a page per day and space for your schedule and todos – AND had all the insights of a guided astrological journal – cosmic wisdom, Sun seasons, Moon phases, journal prompts, rituals, and more. What a magical and practical tool that could be!
And so, three and a half wild months later – during the NFL season, which, as a sports host for the Green Bay Packers, is my busiest time of the year – I released the Radiance Planner as it is today. A daily planner that blends the astrological with the practical. An accessible, supportive tool for my fellow spiritual soul-seekers who want more magic and flow in their “real” lives. A planner for those who want to align with their highest path and purpose, step into their radiance, raise their vibration, and change the world for the better in their own authentic and unique way.

Rebecca Zaccard is an astrologer at Radiance Astrology who knew she wanted to write a book to complement her business offerings… she just didn’t know what.
