Virgo - The Holistic Healer
I feel like this idea of Virgo as the virgin doesn’t tell the whole story. It feels like an attempted erasure of the feminine in her fullness. It’s the patriarchy trying to rebrand the holistic healer, the Earth priestess, the witch — into the virgin, the pure one.
If I associate Virgo energy with purity, it’s purity of purpose. Simply put, Virgo energy wants to make things better. She wants order, yes, but order in the way that nature is orderly. Order in the way that so many systems in our bodies flow naturally, occur without conscious thought, so that we can focus our attention on other things.
What are you focusing your attention on right now?
As the Sun moves into Virgo on August 22nd, 2025, we have a New Moon occurring almost simultaneously. Talk about order from the Universe! We have an opportunity, an invitation, to take stock of how we are supporting ourselves, our overall health and wellness, in our days, in our lives, in our work. We have the opportunity to craft and refine our practices and our schedules to better serve and support us — so we can feel how we want to feel. From that supported, grounded, and nourished place, we can serve. We can give.
We can’t give when we’re empty. We can give when we are full.
Not necessarily when our plates are full, when our schedules are overloaded with tasks and things that drain us — so Virgo invites you to carve out space for daily actions that bring you back home to yourself, practices that support your mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and energetic health.
They can be as simple as taking a deep breath. As simple as stretching your body. As simple as putting your toes in the grass.
